Snowbear Advantage

Fits most trucks and SUV's

A hidden mounting system bolts on to the vehicle frame with no welding or drilling for easy do-it-yourself installation. The Custom Vehicle Mounts are manufactured for each listed trucks. If your truck is not listed, a professional mount (6001) is available. In most cases it requires some fabrication and/or drilling.

Hassle-free, low maintenance

No gas to fill, no oil to add, no spark plugs to clean, and no filters to change. SnowBear Personal Snowplows use a custom geared electric winch operated by remote control to raise and lower the plow.

Affordable one-time purchase

For virtually the same price as a snow blower, and much less than a commercial contract, SnowBear Personal Snowplows offer economical snow removal year after year. Many customers report a return on their investment the very first year.

Ready to go when the snow flies

One person can easily attach or remove the plow in seconds using the convenient mount assist jack which is included with all SnowBear plows.

Independence-don't get snowed in

Put the power in your hands to clear driveways, laneways and parking lots when needed, as often as needed.

Save time on snow removal

A wide clearance path cuts snow removal down to a fraction of the time of shoveling or snow blowing. A 100’ driveway with 2 feet of snow can be cleaned in 5 minutes or less. With a snow blower, you will be looking at 30-40 minutes, not to mention the 30 below zero temperature and 20 mph wind.

Stay warm in the comfort of your vehicle

Get out of the elements! No more shoveling or walking behind the snowblower. Operate the plow from inside your vehicle by using remote control.

Do you need a four wheel drive truck?

No, many owners with two wheel drive vehicles are very happy with their results. The plow clears the snow away before it gets to the tires.

How can I get more traction so I can push more snow?

Adding weight in the vehicle will help push more snow.

Can I install the mount myself?

The mount is easily installed following the carefully prepared instructions. For additional instruction, you can call us for help. Many customers agree that it is easier to assemble and mount the plow than it is to assemble the typical Bar B Que you might purchase at a local hardware or discount store.

Does the Plow Angle?

Yes, a spring loaded release allows you to manually angle the blade so that you can move the snow to the right or to the left. To reduce cost and complexity, there are no hydraulic control systems on the plow for remote angling. You also save on high costs of maintenance.

How does the remote control work?

The remote control is used to raise and lower the plow within the vehicle. The 12 ft. control cable can be temporarily mounted on your side window or permanently installed under the dash in the same way as a commercial plow remote would be installed. The control comes standard with your plow.

What is a wireless remote?

If you want to raise and lower the plow from inside the cab without any wire, this option is no longer available.

What happens when I hit an object while plowing?

The plow system has an overload trip system which is spring loaded. If you ram something solid, the blade tilts downward and then springs back when you back up or raise the blade.

What are the Skid Shoes for?

The skid shoes are used for plowing snow on gravel, dirt, or uneven terrain. They also protect the edge of the cutting blade. Many customers purchase the skid shoes to protect the lawn when moving snow during an early snowfall or a late snowfall in the Spring. Rural customers like the skid shoes for removing snow on gravel roads in order to reduce the amount of gravel that is pushed into the ditch by the plow. This again can happen early Fall or Late Spring.

Do I need a light kit?

Lights are needed when traveling or plowing snow in the evening. The SnowBear Off Road Lights are not street legal.

Why do I need a snow deflector?

The deflector helps move the snow off the blade and will also keep the snow off the windshield which is an important safety feature.
